Hello!

I've been asked to set up a Wireless network, which I've never done before. I've set up wired networks, with static IPs, and am quite familiar with wired networks.
Is a wireless network set up similar to a wired network? Does anyone know of any good online resources about wireless network beginners like me?

Thanks,
ladyslinger

Wireless networks use the same principles as a wired network, but security will be your main concern. A wireless network isn't 100% foolproof, but you can make it almost darn impossible to get in. Make sure you use 128 bit encryption and have it so it changes the key every so often. Do a google search for setting up wireless networks or buy a book at your bookstore or computer store. I recommend the O'Reilly books (the ones with animals on the front). Email me offline if you want further help from me: curt@craneproducts.com
