Setting up a test server - BOEXI R2

I am using BOEXI R2.

Currently the above system is running on a live server.

We now have at last test server in place, so we can test updates etc.

Whats the best way of exporting a copy BOEXI from the live box to the test server?

Do I need to reinstall the software, create a new cms database, export the repors from the live to the test or is there an easier way.?

Any guidance on the above would help a lot

That's what we did.... install and then exported
