Ok, first off let me state, I am new to Linux. I know nothing about it, so forgive me if my questions come across dumb. I downloaded the iso image of slackware from the site using bit torrent, however I can not get it to boot from the dvd. I downloaded the dvd image, not the cd ones. How can I get it to boot?

Thanks

How did you burn the .ISO to DVD media?

Is your BIOS set to see your DVD reader as a boot device before any hard drives? (boot sequence)

I burned it as an image using nero and yes the bios is set for the dvd to boot first, not the hard drive. I can boot with others, just not this one.

The downloaded file did come with 3 images

slackware-12.1-install-dvd.iso

slackware-12.1-install-dvd.iso.asc

slackware-12.1-install-dvd.iso.md5

The first one is the one I burned as an image to the dvd.
