Greeting

I'm trying to create a network path in DOS using MAP Route. I'm not using the container or group name just a TCP/IP address. What I'm typing is Map root w:=\\10.98.115.48\C$, This will not create a path to the network, it give me an error code of 8884.

Is there another way of connecting

Is the 10.98.115.48 a NetWare server? If so, C$ is typically a default NT share name. In Netware you map to a volume/folder name. If 10.98.115.48/C$ is an NT or Windows shared drive, then the NetWare MAP command won't work, you need to use the Microsoft NET USE command to mape to a share.
