Setting up a IP set for the first time

Hi all,

I have a BCM50 R3 and have purchased a IP Seat.

Has anyone got a guide to set it up.

I want to use a IP 2002 phone and the BCM sits behind a ADSL router so doesn't do DHCP.

Any help would be great.

you need to build the ip phone in em first

then wipe the phone when it boots up (press all 4 soft keys individually from left to right)

then set the phone with a static ip and point it to the BCM

you need to set a registration PW in EM

after you finish configuring the phone itself, it will reboot then ask you for a registration PW (the one you set in EM)

then it will ask you for a dn (make it the same as the one you built in EM)

thats it in a nutshell
