Setting up a Cisco 2524 router 1

I just bought a 2524 Cisco router and i am trying to get in the command mod. by consoling in and the using a usb adapter to connect to my PC using Hyper Terminal, but I just get a blank screen any help will be great. Thanks

No parity
1 stop bit

Roll over cable

If that don't work its your usb adapter. Check its documentation.

Okay thanks for the reply i have set the setting to default which you have mentioned, but it still no good but i realize its not picking up the usb adapter i have looked it up but i am unable to resolve it any suggestion.

K thanks it was the usb-serial adapter i installed the drivers thanks

Download Tera Term and PuTTy (free)...HyperTerminal SUCKS.
