Setting up a 56k connection on a 3com Super Stack II NetBuilder Router

I have been trying to get our router to accept the 56k connection set up for our company recently.  I have contacted our service provider to have a test done and ot one end it tests fine, but at the other end, the one with the more complicated router, I'm having a loopback problem.  I have never worked with routers before and could use a bit of advice and/or direction.
