I have my 2511 up and running and everything works great.. I can access all switches and routers in my rack! Sweet!!!
Used this reference and wanted to share in regard to setting up a 2509/2511 for your home lab!!!

I do have a question though.. I am getting this when sitting idle on the Terminal server... How can I get rid of it?
(I am referring to all of the "Timing Out" issues)..

Term con0 is now available

Any info???

Also... a bit off topic... Sometimes the IOS on my 3640 routers comes up in Greek.. (Strange) If I go into Tera Term and reselect English... This corrects the issue.... Thinking that it is a prob with Tera Term... Has anyone else experienced this nuisance? Just curious!

Thanks all!

Save the settings in Tera Term...
router(config)#login ?

Do that, and look at the different options...

OK Burt..

I have to wait for all of these to time-out to get started on this router.. Will post startup first!

Strange huh?

OK.. here is the login ? I have this option:

Term(config)#login ?
WORD Name of the host for this login string

Any ideas of how to get rid of this???

I tried a "no service config" from config mode and that gets rid of it BUT I lose the ability to reverse telnet that way.. Not so good on a 2511...LoL

Takes approximately 2 minutes to time-out all four of these on startup.. Am receiving an error on startup.. will post...
(From a reload after resetting service config)

Not so sure of what this could be...

I found the answer to this....

NO SERVICE CONFIG

Was actually the answer.. Then have to perform a

CLEAR LINE 1
"2"
"3"
ETC... Until you find the one that your are using and it clears...

Hope this helps someone else avoid this goofy issue!
