I changed the time on the Linux Store server and I received some sort of message about changing something on the App servers too.
What is the complete procedure for reset of the time on Modular Messaging?
We're running MM 2.0 with one store server and 2 app servers. PBX is Avaya Communication Mgr.

Could this be a reason with why our message lamps are not functioning or at best, delayed?

Is there a way to have the MSS pull the time from the company time server?

From Avaya PSN 861U:

In R2.0 for MSS backend, we have a patch M6066pt+d, which will allow you to use your own NTP server to sync time between the MAS's and MSS's. In R3.0 for MSS backend this ability is available but must be activated before it appears on the menu. In 3.1 the menu item will be included in the standard product.

If you have command line access go to /mtce/bin and execute the following command: enable_ntp_administration. This will now allow you to make the changes via the menus. The menu is located under Basic System Administration -> Date/Time/NTP Server Administration. There is no need to restart/reboot once this is command is executed.

If you don't have command line access call MM TAC.
