Hi

Anyone know why setting the Path property on TShellTreeView does not result in the view selecting the path. Mine always selects the Root.

myShellView.Path := 'c:\temp';

I have looked at the source and it has a setPath method used for Write of Path but it doesn't seem to work.

Any help would be appreciated. Why don't BORLAND make these controls more mainstream, they seem to be a bit of an after thought.

I've thrown a TShellTreeView component on my form and it doesn't have a "Path" property when I access the "Object Inspector". There is, however a "Root" property which sets the root directory. Clive [infinity]

Thanks for the reply. The Root property is the actual root of the tree and I want the user to be able to fully navigate the whole system.

The Path property is available just not at design time.
