setting the defaults

So, I just got Mozilla 1.1. I like it. It's fast.

I think it shows text too large though. So I told it to show text at 90% (View / Text Zoom / 90%).

Now, each time I start Mozilla, it defaults back to 100%. How do I make it default to 90%?

And ... when I open a new tab, it's a blank page. Can I make each new tab I open start at my default homepage?
