setting text in flash 5

How does a person add text to a textfield in flash 5?
I would like to load txt from a file. I've got that down pretty good. And I want to put that text into a textField.

I have flash MX. But when I choose to publish for flash 5, all my options are yellow!

Did flash 5 have any text methods anywhere. I thought text was a basic item. Thanks

Set up your textfield as you would with MX.
Add the variable name (to the Var box in the properties) that starts off your text file. Regards,
