hi, there is a function to set system date

I dunno but I think you'd have to hit windows API for that. JHall

I would recommend controlling the system date form the NT server rather than trying to set it from SQL Server.

You can install a time program that will synch the NT system date/time with time servers available on the internet. Dimension 4 and About Time are free and I've used boith to keep servers and PCs set to the correct time. You could also set up a Time server on your LAN and synch to that via NET TIME.

I suppose you can use xp_cmdshell to set the date/time.

xp_cmdshell 'date 2/8/02'
xp_cmdshell 'time '12:21' Terry L. Broadbent
