Setting sound-volume in registry?

Hi!
I'm setting up machines in my network that are going to record calls, among other... On occation, exmployees will use this machines as workstations.

Is there anyway to set the sound-volume and recording-device (mic or line-in) via batch, so that I can set these values in logonscript?

Are the volume and record-device stored in registry or something else?

I think this depends on the card/software you're using. The easiest way to find this out is to change the volume or device then check what has changed in the registry. The are a number of registry monitoring tools which will help you, e.g. InCtrl4 which you can download from
