This is a continuation of the following thread:

thread1329-1810217

First Question: Does anyone know if this would apply to SIP trunks?
Second Question: Does anyone know if this is possible on a Virtual System (Assuming SIP trunks are possible)

I have a MIVB rel 8 Virtual system.

I've tried the telnet method but the string lldli smdr_disc on comes back as unrecognised

I also tried the MSL method and no joy there as well.

I suspect I'm chasing my tail but it would be helpful to know where my disconnects are originating.

The command should be:

Code:
lldcli smdr_disc on

For SIP trunks, I would get a packet capture and see which end originates the 'BYE' message.

Im struggling to find one to test on - all of our customer have been upgraded now to 9

ill deploy a virtual one on my lab at home and see whether i can work out the syntax

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

@Techymitel

We cant duplicate the issue of a call center where the complaint is 20 disconnected calls while in queue out of 250 inbound calls

Packet capture is all but useless.

I have checked on a release 8 vMiVB system.

Telnetting to port 23 of the vMiVB and logging in as system, I can use the command:

Code:
lldcli smdr_disc on

If I am connected using a raw connection to port 2001 to the same vMiVB, I can see "SMDR_DISC Debug is ON" echoed back confirming activation.

If I try using 'installer' or below level I receive an error "You are not authorized to use this command."

If I try the command in your original post or as noted in the linked thread (lldli smdr_disc on) I receive an error: "Unknown keyword." I think you are missing the 'c' in the 'lldcli' command.

OK, Thanks Techymitel, there was an error as you pointed out (in the earlier thread linked originally)

@Billz66, I can only give one star, I'll make it up to you later. Update: I gave you a star in the original post for Rel9 instructions.

bugger , just got my vmcd working with a sip trunk at home :-(

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
