Hello all,

I'm trying to turn on my system security on my notebook with WinME. I've placed my system manager disk in drive and and from a DOS prompt I've typed a:systempw mypassword <enter>. The screen comes back with password updated, but whenever I go back into PLUS the "Security" option in the F3 is note available. Has anyone else seen this type of problem with WinME ?

Thank for the Help

Hi,

There are significant differences between security setup procedures in WSM 7.0A and earlier 6.5A
& 6.1A versions. WSM 7.0A has USERS and GROUPS that can be setup; WSM 6.5A & 6.1A only have
three levels of security; L, M and H.

**COMMANDS ARE DIFFERENT** For the WSM 6.1A and 6.5A, the command to setup a password is " a:systempw password ".

For the WSM 7.0A, the command is " a:systempw -on password "
See page 4 of the Addendum for a complete description.

Regards
