Hi,
I'm having some problems with one of our Netfinity 5100 servers; We have six SCSI disks in the internal bays and have it set so that 1 disk is the system disk and the other 5 make up a RAID 5 set.
The problem started when one of the disks in the RAID5 set died and I replaced/let it rebuild. It seemed quite happy. However, after it completed successfuly and I rebooted the server, the on board SCSI card flipped and has reassinged the Ids of the SCSI hard disks. Originally it was 0 (system disk) then 1 3 4 5 9 as the RAID5, but now it appears the disks 1 and 5 have turned into Ids 2 and 8. This now throws the RAID out as it is looking for disks with IDs 1 and 5.
My question is, how can I reassign the SCSI Ids back to the offending disks?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please clarify how you have this configured for RAID - is the backplane connected to the onboard SCSI controller and you are using software RAID, or is the backplane connected to a RAID controller and you set up two Logical Drives - RAID 0 for the single drive and RAID 5 for the other 5 HDDs. If the former, consider the latter as a better solution. If the latter, then you can hit Ctrl+I at boot (when the RAID Controller is initializing) and select to import the configuration from the drives to the controller (provided you have not selected to accept changes when it informed you that the drives were changed).
