Using CR 8.5......

You know how you can set the Report Date to cause a report to run as if it where another day (instead of the current day)???

Is there a way to program that date/time in a report?

if is the date field of the report that you are talking about

right click>format field>common Tab

display string and add

totext(Currentdate - 2)

this will take two days of the current date.

you could set a variable or a parameter and use that to change as you wish

I am referring to "Set Print Date/Time..." option off the "Report" drop down menu. This is where you tell the report what date it is (if you don't want it to be the current date/time of the run).

I was thinking if you could change that on the fly, maybe you could loop a report to run for several date/time values......

The set Print date and time only tell CR which date to use for the speacial fields Date & Time which can be used a report header or footer.

As I said before the display string option can overwrite such settings giving you the freedom to change the date.

I have only had a quick look at it and it does not seem very flexible.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you and we are talking about the same thing.....

I have several reports that are meant to run current day/time. Sometimes, if the reports are not run on a particular work day (am I off or otherwise not available to run them) I just turn back the calendar by setting the date/time to the missed date and the report runs as if it were actually that date.
