Setting port duplex on 4006 w/ CATOS 1

I have a 4006 running CATOS (Nmp 7.6), and I am unsuccessfully trying to reset the port duplex settings to full. Currently the two ports I am attempting to change show duplex at "a-half" and I am getting slow response time. I enter the following commands, but they don't seem to take. What am I not seeing or doing wrong? Maybe I don't understand what it is telling me with the response of "Port x/xx is in auto-sensing mode."

Console> (enable) set port duplex 2/37 full
Port 2/37 is in auto-sensing mode.
Console> (enable) set port duplex 4/37 full
Port 4/37 is in auto-sensing mode.
Console> (enable)
