Setting Password on Nortel 3510 Switch

Hello,

Does anyone know how to configure a password for the console and telnet sessions on the above switch? Im interested in configuring it from the CLI or the GUI.

If its the same as other BayStack switches it'll be under the "Console/Comm Port Config" menu, setting the option to "Local Password" and then setting the password below should do it.
 
yes, I see it now. How do you set the usernames and what is the default user name on these switches? It's not taking admin.

There isn't really a username for CLI/menu access, the level of access depends on which password you give. I don't use the web interface but I seem to recall that it prompted for a username and that it was RO or RW depending on the access.
