I need to setup up LDAP on a Windows Server 2012 R2 server.
I have found the installation instructions for AD LDS Role - which I was able to follow, but I am confused when coming up with the Application Partition Name - what later is used as a Distinguished Name
For sake of example, I have domain controller subdomain.example.com. For testing I want to create an LDAP application partition name, and I want to put a single user on it - test@subdomain.example.com
from reading articles online, I understand that each subdomain should have its own DC= in the partition name.
So when creating the name of the partition during ldap installation, should it be DC=subdomain, DC=example, DC=com?
Am I right? Do I need anything else like DN or RN or an OU?
