I have a client who wants AA to answer all calls and route it to the specific groups of the phones. If there is no answer call should be routed to one specific VM box (general mailbox for that group) or to one common general mailbox. Is it possible on KX-TD1232 r3? The VM is new KX-TVS50 VM.
Also is it possible to create overlaping groups?

yes the voice/mail cando as you ask
1. set the group as normal
2. set the v/m to custom
3. setup a mail box with the same as ext no:

i dont understand what you mean by overlaping grp
do you mean you want the grp to intercept or overflow to another grp if so then yes but you would have to extend the no answer timer.
let us know how well equiped you are for this job do you have software for the phone sys & v/mail

Thanks for the posts. It looks like my post was definetly too brief, so let me elaborate a little. I'm pretty good with some other phone system (e.g. AVAYA) but Panasonic is only so-so. I did few Panasonic VM systems but this one was installed by someone else, and since he had no programming experience... you know. Since the client is my relative, I'm trying to help him a little and if his requirements were simple (AA and then routing the calls to the correct parties) that would be no problem. But what he wants is for AA to answer the calls and then when selection is made by caller, to ring several extensions at once, and if no ansfer after few rings, caller should be directed to general mailbox. There should be 4 groups of the extensions. In addition, by overlapping groups, I mean that some of the extensions should belong (and ring) when two different groups are choosen. I guess, the big question is, can few extensions ring at once or the system will hunt from one to another after the VM routes the call?

once the groups are working internaly then you will need to setup the voicemail route...but we will get to that later
