Hi! I have a mailbox that I want messages deleted after 12 hours.
I have set the LCOS age limits as below. Messages I left yesterady are not getting deleted. Am I missing something?

Played message retention :12(hours)
Unplayed message retention :12(hours)
Urgent message retention :12(hours)
Cut-thru paging receipt retention :12(hours)
Receipt retention :12(hours)
Played fax retention :12(hours)
Unplayed fax retention :12(hours)
Urgent fax retention :12(hours)
Fax receipt retention :12(hours)
Absolute message retention :0(hours)

Thanks

I would set the Absolute to 12 hours and forget the rest.

Hmm I would think your settings would have worked as long as the messages were left after you made the changes to the LCOS ( and you assigned the LCOS to the mailbox you are using ). Wouldn't think a restart would be needed.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Seems ok now.. as long as it works I am happy. I did not set the absolute age limit.

I will play with it some more and see if I can nail down more precicely the aging and post the results

Thanks for yoru help :)

Some timers start when other expire so that 12 hours is not necessarily what you think it is.

Absolute retention is exactly what you think it is.
