Setting focus to a control

How can I set the focus on a control after a postback event?

I have a related question. I'd like to set focus on the first text box when the page is opened. I set it to be the first tab stop, but it doesn't work.

You have to use cliwnt side script, (Javascript, VBScript), for both actions. I have some working examples somewhere or you could try

for plenty of script event actions.

There are other threads in this forum with how to assign the client side onClick event.
