Please can someone let me know if I can replicate the "=WORKDAY(<Ref cell>, <days>, <holidays>) of excel spreadsheet into microsoft project.

2. I am currently in manual schedule, as I have no information on start date, and some tasks dates are not there yet. In this scenario, please can you suggest how to let Project to do auto scheduling without changing the dates which I have already entered so that I get the resource information.

Much Appreciated
Protocoder.

You cannot write formulas in the calculated fields for Start and Finish date. To separate tasks you can link them and add lead or lag to the link relationship.

You cannot use autoscheduled tasks and keep the dates you entered without setting Must Start On or Must Finish On constraints.

However, if you use autoscheduled tasks without constraints and use links, lead, and lag to drive the schedule - when you know the start date of the project, you simply change the start date. With constraints you'll need to use the Move Project command (which will further constrain tasks.)
