Access 2000, I'm playing with Access for the first time.

I have to set-up a query so that an end-user can specify the date range for a report.

"Between [enter start date] And [enter end date]" results in Access reporting an 'unidentifiable error'.

">= [enter start date]<= [enter end date]" allows the query to run, but I still get every date possible both inside and outside the range.

I've tried inputing different date formats into the parameter prompt, I've made sure that the 'date' field has the date/time property as does the Query-->Parameters box.

I am using another parameter that is a text field. It operates correctly. I have changed the execution order of the parameters and have received the same results.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Bret

">= [enter start date] AND <= [enter end date]" Not the right way, but at least the syntax is closer

Try neclosing your dates with a #, i.e.

Between #[enter start date]# And #[enter end date]#
