Setting Database Server Name

One of our report developers uses the IP address of the server when publishing a report (Crystal Reports 11), and I use the servers Logical name (ie. BOEAudit - shown in BO Crystal Reports XI book)
Does it matter which one is used?

Hi,
If the IP address of the BOE server NEVER changes and you are not using a clustered system, either way is probably fine..Otherwise use the CNAME or DNS Alias of the server (That way, if the IP changes only the DNS server's info need altering).
