I need to set a phone that actualy has no instrument present to forward (not if busy, nor after so many rings, but always) to another phone. The sets are M3904s, the PBX is a Nortel Option 61c.

Out it and build it as a ACD NCFW to the desired ext. That will do it for you.

The DN for the first phone is present as a non-primary line on other phones. Can you still make that DN an ACD without removing it from the other phones?

Nope....You need to out it from all phones before you can build it as an ACD. Go to ld 57 and set up FFC for RCFW (remote call forward).

So once you build out the flexible feature code for remote call forwarding, you would pick up you handset and the dial string should look something like this;
Dial FFC [**11], enter the SCPW [1234], then the DN to forward [2973], then the DN you want to forward to [2980], then the # key.

To cancle would be;
Dial FFC [##11], the SCPW [1234], then the DN [2973]

All done.

you could also use a phanton tn to direct call forward to another number. check in the common equipment (cequ) in ld 22 for a Phanton loop and program it as a 500 set.

Afortunato, You would need to remove the DN from the other phones to accomplish waht you suggest. If that were the case, the ACD would be the short way to go.

EddieDuece - Maybe I missed something. If you out it from all other phones, and set it up as an ACD with NCFW to the desired extension, then why would you need to go to ld 57 and set up FFC for RCFW?

You wouldn't. Sorry, the FFC was another way to do it in case you didn't want to remove the DN from the other phones. I should have clarified that!

That makes perfect sense; I just didn't read it right.

So from all this I gather that there is no way to simply CFW a set from anything other than the set itself (without setting up a FFC). Is that correct?

Once you set up the FFC, then you can use it on any set in the switch (nice feature to have). Really isn't as tough as it may appear, but these are the options....

rcfw is the only way IF the dn needs to appear on other sets, but that seems to negate the need for perm forward.. i would use the maxp 1 acd or a phantom tn with rcfw and take the number off all the sets.. another option is dsc's.. never just one way to play in this sandbox, and the best way depends on your customer

Thanks everybody. I'm learning a lot from your tips. For what it's worth, this is just a temporary setup. An employee has moved offices, and wants calls to the old number forwarded to her new number. But they don't want her old number to appear on her new set (that would be my solution). The old number is also a non-prime on other sets, and since this is temporary, I didn't want to remove it from those. The problem is that her old phone has been removed, otherwise I would just forward from the set. It seems like there was a "forward all calls" setting that could be added in the CLS, but I haven't been able to find one that works. Besides, if it existed, I'm sure someone reading these posts would have told me already. Anyway, thanks again for your help!
