I will soon be setting up for a project where the workforce for will work a 7 day week and 8hrs per day.

What is the best method to configure MS Project for this condition? Thanks KMD

There is more that one way. First, and I do not recommend this, is to modify the overall MS Project defaults to have a seven day work week. A better option is to create a custom calendar for each project. So, the default calendar for the project can have 7 day work week as well as any planned downtime and holidays. Then, each resource can also have a calendar where their individual time off (vacations, non-shift days, etc) can be represented.

Thanks for this guidance.... I created a new MMP file for this project (not based on any templates) and immediately created a new Calendar.

From the Top Menu >> Project / Change Working Time:
I created a new Calendar and named it “7Days"
I selected "Create New Base Calendar" when creating the "7Days" Calendar

I selected the “Work Weeks” Tab on the calendar and then the “Details “Tab

However at this point, I do not see a method to set all Saturdays and Sundays to work days with a Start time of 8AM and end time of 5PM as is the case with MON-FRI.

Any help here would be appreciated….

I don't have a copy of Project at the place I'm doing this reply. I believe you can highlight Sat and Sun and then make them working days. When I can confirm the way to do it, I'll reply again. Or if someone else beats me to it, so be it !!
