We have MM 5.2 using Exchange back-end. Have had a couple of instances where MM sees Exchange off-line - server is up and seems fine but not processing calls. 2nd server will not process either because of what is sees...so, is there any alerts that can be set in MM to notify us when Exchange goes off line (it its eyes)?

Built in the MM product, no. But if you have/use Microsoft SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) or some other similar product you can create triggers based on the Application event logs that MM generates when it goes into offline mode.
