Setting a printer as default printer in Metaframe XP

Dear people,

Is there a possibility to set a printer as the default printer for an user. Users now see the whole list of printers in alphabetical order, but i want that for different users a different printer is the first in the list.

So nothing more then setting a default printer for the user to use.

Does somebody has a resolution for this ?

Are you using published applications?? if so tou can use this "set Default Printer". I haven't used it but I would expect that you have to publish it on the same servers that you have the published application on.

Hi,

How are you mapping printers? If you have to map them, why not use Con2Prt.exe from Microsoft and then use the /cd option on login, I can explain how to use it in a script to default a printer to a machine so that users print to a local printer, regardless where they login!
