Whenever we pull up a report, and we hit the refresh button, we are forced to "choose a data source." It's so annoying and time consuming to do that everytime we open a report.

Does any know how to set a single database as the permanent database in Crystal so it never has to ask again what database we want to use?

Thanks a bunch, SJ Sebastian Jazzer

How are you executing/creating the report, and what's the connectivity/database?

When you design the report within Crystal, it requires that a database be specified, and will NOT prompt you for the database again.

Hi, thanks for dealing with my question.

It's an ODBC connection on a small LAN.

The reports have already been designed long ago.

But we upgrade to CR 8.5, and now everytime we hit the refresh button to bring data into the reports, we have to pick a "data source." And this happens with every report.

Any ideas?
