Need to set a new hotline DDI that needs to go to 1 extension all the time and if busy answered by any 5 other extensions. All the extensions are already setup in a symposium call centre queue, customer does not prefer multiple call ringing, group hunt would not be preferred for voicemail options. Would the best solution be to set a new queue in syposium and all the users to log into two queue's

either way will work, but i would use symposium, seems to give you better control, don't know without testing is you can fna a ddi to a hunt group dn, but that would always ring the 1st member in the hunt group, aside from the same dn on all phones (scr or mcr) the number will fna/hta to a single dn.

Have you tried creating a CDN that points the the existing queue, then setting the hunt prompt to that CDN? This should get the result you want. JK

the current queue has about 15 extns which has 3 separate queue, theses extensions are part of 1 queue which is used by 10. I will try the CDN option but to hunt to theses extensions only

How do I check on the switch if the enabled feature on meridian is turned on so that if the digital phone has been unplugged the system does not disable the tn.

in load 21, prt ovly, if 32 is in drol you'll disable unplugged sets during midn...if you turn it off and your switch has somewhere around 3 or 4 percent of the phones unplugged, you'll get a free ini, 5 free ini's and the switch restarts... this is not in the docs, but i've seen it more then once, with some of the newer rls stuff it just turns off cards or ipe's...i wouldn't offer maint on a switch without that on.. the tech will get blammed for the outage because managment stops the switch from doing it's job, nortel put it in so people would quit calling them when the switch wouldn't come back up
