Hi...
1)
I have XP client machines on an NT4.0 domain, i need to set windows classic theme for all user that onto the XP client boxes .,..and users are domain users ...

2) after installing ms office 97 the shortcuts only appear in the administrator profile and not the "all users"
and one have a solution for this ?

Thanx and all help is highly appreciated ...

You can set up a mandatory profile on the server. You'll need to set up a user on local machine as you want it, then copy this to the server (use copy to feature) - and point all XP users at it using user manager for domains. Change its ntuser.dat to ntuser.man and they won't be able to change it.

You should also be able to copy the MS Office icons from All Users to the 'template' user profile you set up before copying to server.

kewl thanx .... part of the problem i'm having with MS office is that for normal users things like Spell check dont work ... if i give the user admin permission it work ..

but as normal users it's just greyed out !

What about as local Power Users (ie, add Domain Users group to local Power Users group). I know some progs seem to need admin rights so domain users are given just local admin rights (so can't mess up the network).
