Ok, now that I got the checkbox order down inside the option group, when the form comes up, the default check box is showing up in any old spot it wants to. Some start in the third box, some in the second, some in the first. If I click on the first box and use the arrow over key, the order is right (goes from left to right) but the first check box that's selected (when field is tabbed to) is screwed up. :(

I tried re-adding one of the option groups, setting a default value, thinking that might position the check box, but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

OR - is there a way to have NONE of the checkboxes initially checked. What is the event for a "checked box"?

Thanks,
Not sure what the check boxes are controlling but very basic the if you set the default value in the property box either 0 (Zero) or False the checkbox will open empty by default if you set the value to 1 or True they will appear checked when opening the form.
I'm also guessing you posted more information on this before... but you are starting a new thread. I'll try to find your previous postings to get more info...

And I'm sorry if what I just told you sounds simplistic... but I guess that will be first thing to try. I'll get back to you if I find your previous thread....

Regards, Juan :)

My bad.... I found your last thread..... I see what you mean.... lets think about this for a second..... Guys.....! be back..... disregards previous note.....

my bad... el mio mistako..... excusemo..... I'll be backo...... Not bad my Spanish...Hu!

I think I got it.....(although it seems to simple to be true) if you select the whole option group and set the default value to 0 (zero) none of the boxes appears checked by default... and if I recall correctly and option group will be mutually exclusive meaning "There can be only one selected" right? ... Right!

So I hope this does it for you..... if not you may want to provide more info as far as what are those options doing....
Reagards, Dumboooooooooy.........! OUCH...!!!!!! ¦:-]

hey dumboy

that default value thing didn't work, but it lead me to something else...under default value in that "Expression Builder" is there a way i can enable my checkbox in there? here's what i was playing around with, but it doesn't work...

(under option group's properties)

=[InterviewYes].[Enabled]=True

where InterviewYes is my first checkbox (in a group of two check boxes) that i want checked by default as i come into the form.

thanks.
