Is there a setting to make the set remain at its set volume, ie...handset volume. Had a customer complain that she is having to increase the volume each time she receives a call. The BCM and Norstar had a setting for system or set volume. Is there a tick for that with the UCx ?

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!

UCx configures Nortel phones to manage their volume (volume control by the call server is not implemented). With this configuration, digital phones revert to the default volume level after each call.

The good news is that you can increase the default volume level (for headset, handset and/or handsfree - whichever the customer considers too low). Just open the management GUI for the UCx Digital Gateway, go to the Gateway tab, open the Device Configuration page and make appropriate adjustment(s). Updated levels are used for subsequent calls.
