Is there an easy step by step procedure somewhere on how to set up multicasting on a LAN, for say ghosting 10 workstations?

And what if I needed to multicast from a server in on site across an MPLS network to the 10 workstations?

How would i set that up?

Depends on the equipment involved. Usually IGMP snooping needs to be enabled on the switches. If you need to multicast across different IP segments you need a device (router) that can handle (forward) the multicasts.

Have Fun!
