set up extension for no ring

What Im trying to do is to setup extension 11 for callers to hear direction to an area. Do we create a menu for the extension or just record into the voice message for callers to hear.

To do that we must turn off the ring at extension 11. so how do we do this?

Is there such thing to put a menu in extension 11 for it to play recorded direction or we just have to do a voice message to play the direction recording?

You could set up a selector code in the voicemail system to play an announcement.

You could choose an extension that does not have a telephone assigned to it. That way extension 11 can still keep the mailbox for regular use.

If i select a selector code the caller would have to press either button from 1-9 for announcement from the menu prompt.
But i have a clients that want ext 11 to hear a message about direction to an area without callers having to leave a message at the end.
And at ext 11 we need DXD to the extension at the menu prompt

how do we disable the ringing when caller call at ext 11 for it to take directly to a message?

why not use a announcement ,mailbox ?

(what VM , not all support announcement MB)
