Hi

I want to set the backspace key to delete characters on Solaris, could someone tell me how to do it please. I am using .cshrc file, not .profile, or is there any combination keys to set it just like SCO?

Thanks

Hi babeo,

use the following command:

$ stty erase ^H

(simply press the backspace key after stty erase which will be displayed as ^H)

This is not dependent on the shell you use.

$ stty -a shows you all your terminal settings.
