Hello I am try to set-up an auto attendant feature on the mn 3300 with andanced embedded voicemail system, I have created the menu type voicemail but I can't dial that number and hear all my option ??.

Have you programmed the Voicemail Ports to have an extension number? If so, did you put those extension numbers into a hunt group (hunt group needs to be a voice mail type hunt group)? Is there a General Greeting recorded? You should be able to either dial the access code for the hunt group or the individual extension numbers of the voice mail ports. Just want to know where you are at for programming.

Depending on whether the set you use has a voicemail box or not will determine where in the voice mail system you will be. If you have a mailbox on that set, then you will hear the greeting of that mailbox. Just press * once and you will be at the main greeting and you should able to access the menu options. If there is no mailbox for that set, you will immediately hear the main greeting.

If you have a small system and a few extra mailboxes, I like to program mailboxes that have single digits. This will allow someone anywhere in the voicemail system to press that digit and have their call perform the desired action (transfer to an extension, info mailbox, leave a message mailbox, etc...). This does not work well on larger systems that require multiple menu node mailboxes.

HI,

Yes I have the voicemail port programmed and its function as normal.here is more detail about the setting which I try to do.
Currently I have 14 ports configured for voicemail and the voicemail access number is 1500 (its hunt group number). I have created new extension 1403 and also set-up a mailbox for this extension as a menu node mailbox. Under this menu I have single digit mailbox 1 and 2. Those 1&2 mailbox are transfer only mailbox.
After I completed all those setting I accessed the menu type mailbox 1403 by dialling 1500 and record the greating as follow press 1 for customer support and press 2 for technical support. The extension 1403 also has its alway route set-up to goto 1500.
After I record the greating I dialled 1403 and it never palyed my recorded announcement? looks like it only plays the system default announcement.!!!

You have to go into the Administrator Mailbox by dialing 999 from your mailbox hunt group number.

You need to record a system announcement. Easiest way is to press one from the Administrator mailbox and configure system options.

You have 2, actually 3, system greetings, ones an emergency recording.

These recording are the press 1 for this, 2 for that. The greeting on the individual mailboxes are for when the system says, "You are being transfered to....." "customer support" for example.

To test it, dial the mailbox huntgroup and press * to listen to the autoatendant.
