I have a small server that is in our Radiology department (we are a small hospital). They have several machines such as a CT, Ultrasound that use TCP/IP. These machines are on a different subnet that the rest of our LAN. I have this server with two NICS acting as a router between the two nets. Randomly this machine looses its connection to the lan. The only thing I can see is that when I run IPCONFIG the gateway is not there even though it is set in the properties along with I.P., DNS, etc. It just seems to lose this. We have installed 3 servers in the department over the last couple of months and two seem to do it. The third went two weeks with no problems. Can this problem be associated with the routing? I have changed all the cables, switches, etc. and we still have this problem. We also have 75 other workstations and about 6 servers that have no problem. None of the others are running this two NIC configuration.
Thanks,
Shannan
