I'm having trouble adding a serial queue for a local IBM 6400 printer. I add the queue as an rs232, but when I try to print, I keep getting dev_busy. Any suggestions?

The serial ports on the p550 are not actually serial ports / rs232.
They have limited funstionallity, i.e. they only support terminals.
Call IBM and tell them you have been mis-sold your system and they will come and install a serial pci card for you that does support rs232.

We did have a pci card installed. This morning I was able to add a printer/plotter then added the printer queues. I printed to all 3 printers twice, then when I tried to print again, the printers kept going into DOWN status. I've tried deleting, rebooting server and printer all to no avail. I've deleted and re-created the queues, but still am unable to print. Now I'm getting DEV_BUSY.
