Hello,
I'm trying to set up a greeting in voicemail pro to be played whenever someone doesn't answer their phone after 4 rings. How I envision to set it up is in the beginning of the greeting it'll say the recorded name of the extension being called(ex. John Smith) and then right afterwards it'll say "is not available at this moment. Press 1 if you would like to leave a voicemail or hold on the line to get connected to another representative". I'm curious if there's a variable I can use in voicemail pro to have it play the extensions recorded name. I've tried $NAM but that plays the caller's name if they're calling from an internal extension. I've also tried $TARGET_NAME but still no luck. If it isn't possible, I could just have a generic recording that applies to anyone being called but was just curious if what I'm trying to accomplish is possible. Thanks.

you can't play files outside of the wav directory, so unless you plan to copy them all over there whenever they change, I wouldn't do that. Why not just have it play their greeting as normal? If they want to give options to transfer they can say that in their greeting, and then use the DTMF breakout options in their user (or set in user right, or globally).

You can actually use

../Greetings/greeting_1.wav

and

../Names/name.wav

to get to the other directories. BUT, yes, record the proper greeting and set the breakouts

I know about the DTMF breakout option. I was just hoping it was possible to do create a module in voicemail pro that does it and forward everyone's calls in our customer support group on no answer/busy to that module. That way everyone wouldn't have to rerecord their voicemail greetings and I could have more flexibilty on different options in case I want to set up an assisted transfer within the module itself. I still would like to do it that way but if there's no way to play the user's mailbox greeting automatically using a variable in voicemail pro, then I think I may just record a generic greeting that says "The customer support representative you're trying to reach is either busy or on another call. Press 1 to leave a voicemail or hold on the line to get connected with another representative". Pressing 1 would transfer the call to the user's voicemail box which would play their actual recorded greeting. Something along those lines I think would work. Either way, thank you guys for your help.
