Is it ok to change time on the PBX at any time of the day? I have PBX G3siV6.

Yes and no. It could effect call accounting or CMS records. Best to do it real early or real late. I have done it during the day and nothing broke.

Yes, it is OK to change it at any time during the day. It may take a while to update all the phone displays, so have your users remain patient.

You will need to do this from an HTTPS session...

Enter IP address in IE, and go to Maint, and then Server Date/Time

Thanks,
CJH

It is very important to remember that changes to your S87xx media servers should always be done on the standby server, not the active server. That being said, this is the proceedure I follow for changing the time:

Connecting to the Maintenance Web Interface of the Standby Server
[ol]
[li]Log into the Integrated Management consule by entering the IP address or DNS hostname for the media server cluster.[/li]
[li]Select the [red]"Launch Maintenance Web Interface"[/red] option.[/li]
[li]On the Maintenance Web Pages site, select "Status Summary" from the Server section.[/li]
[li]Determine which server is the active server. This should be the server you are currently connected to. To verify this, look at the [red]"This Server:"[/red] entry on the top right hand side of the page.[/li]
[li]Switch to the Duplicate Server by clicking on the server's name on the top right hand side of the page.[/li]
[li]Log into the standby server and select [red]"Launch Maintenance Web Interface"[/red].[/li]
[/ol]
Changing the Time on the Standby Server
[ol]
[li]Select the [red]"Server Date/Time"[/red] option from the Server section.[/li]
[li]Enter the new date and time, verify the time zxone setting, and click on the [red]"Submit"[/red] button[/li]
[li]Once the change has completed, you will need to make the same change on the other server.[/li]
[/ol]
Interchanging the Servers and Switching to the Standby Server.
[ol]
[li]Select [red]"Interchange Servers"[/red] form the Server section.[/li]
[li]Place a check mark in the [red]"Force interchange regardless of server status."[/red] box and click on the [red]"Interchange"[/red] button. (This is necessary, as allowing the servers to synchronize will cause the time change to be overwriten.)[/li]
[/ol]

Before anyone makes mention of this, changing the time is NOT service affecting and CAN be done on the active server. That being said, I wrote the process as above based on the fact that it is good business practice never to make changes to the active server.
