Set the OLI but do not show extension name in outbound call display

Using a BCM400 r4.0 system with a PRI.

I would like to set the outbound line identification so that outbound calls from certain extensions show their correct DID phone number but when I do that it passes the extension name as part of the outbound call display.

eg:
With the Pub. OLI field in the set configuration clear the Call display shows:
"Company
555-555-1111"

When the Pub. OLI field has the users DID number it shows
"Company JohnD
555-555-8254"

I want to be able to suppress showing the name that is attached to the extension and only show the company name but I also don't want to blank out the extension name otherwise when calling internally the name would not show up.

Is there any way to prevent the set name from passing to the outbound name display on external calls?

From what I understand you can only manipulate the phone number with OLI, but the name stays as the company name since it's based on what telco has it set at.

No, that's not correct.

The name display shows the name as a combination of the 8 character Business name configured in Telephony->Global Settings->Feature Settings
Plus the 7 characters in the Set's Name field in Telephony->Sets->Active Sets

If you leave the Pub. OLI field blank then the BCM does NOT append the 7 character set name to the outbound name display sent to the telco. If you DO fill in anything on the Pub. OLI field then the BCM will append the set name to the outbound call display.

What I want to do is send ONLY the Business name as configured in Feature Settings but with the ability to change the Pub. OLI field to show a users DID number.

So what I want is to send the Calling party number information WITHOUT adding the SETNAME to the end of the NA Display.

Of course if your Telco filters the data on their side then your experience may show that you cannot change the name display. Some will allow you to set any name, some will allow you to set any number on the outbound call too.

In our case we can send anything and the network will pass what we send as the name and number for call display. (There was a form to fill out to get the filters removed)

Remove the company name from the name field and the phone co. will insert the company name and the OLI will send the DID #.
