set something=%date%

I used this command on NTworkstation, win2000, xp but does not work under NT server.
I need to crate a batch file using the date string and based on the date I need to create folder ..etc.

set mdate=%date% does not work.

Anyone could show the correct syntax it would be greatly appreciated.

You could try using ntdate.exe utility

This link is not working this morning, but the aintx tools are available from other web sites as well.
