Is there a way to set the default message transfer to use SMTP instead of x400 for connected sites?
I have a mixed mode environment, and although a user can send a message to a user in a remote site if their mailbox is homed on 5.5, it will fail if their mailbox is moved to 2003 - an NDR error over x400 is received. However, if I set x400 connector schedule to never, the message is sent via SMTP successfully.
Obviously I cannot set x400 schedule to never as the site replicates over it, and the PF synch over it!
I've tried increasing the cost of routing over x400 but it makes no difference.
FI - the 2003 GAL is received from 5.5 via ADC which is where the routing breaks down as the mailbox accounts are imported as disabled windows accounts.
The sites are in completely seperate forests and using IIFP to import the remote site as contacts doesnt work either
Any pointers?!
TIA
[small]have you turned it off and on again?[/small]
