set security on a usb flash drive

Hi there i just got a hold of a flash drive finnally and i wanted to know it its possible to get a hold on any security software to protect it? it does have a read write switch but didnt come preloaded with anything

When you price "thumb drives", you see that some (of same size) are more expensive. That's because they have security built in. Your best bet is to encrypt anything that needs protection.
