set route 1

I am a beginner.
I have managed to add a route but whenever I restart the machine it disappears.

How do I add a route that stays?

I tried route man for an example but could not find one.

if it is a host route additionaly to your defaultroute:

# echo route add host..... > /etc/rc2.d/S70addroute
