Is set relocation an issue on BCM systems like it can be on a Norstar?

It works the same way if that is what you are asking.

You can turn it on or off.

I recommend only moving a single phone at a time and wait for it to fully boot before moving the next one. I have had troubles when a whole department decides to unplug all their phones and move to another part of the building. It seems to work best one at a time.

For the entire department move you can either move them one by one or just turn off relocation entirely and change the jumpers in the phone room.

No, I mean is there a risk of data corruption on a BCM?

I suppose it would be wise to take the same precautions and use it slowly and carefully.

Yes, when moving multiple phones at the same time set relocation often fails resulting in phones that get reset to a new extension and loose all previously setup button and extension settings. There was some tech note I remember reading that explained it should only be done with a single phone at a time otherwise it is EXPECTED to fail if two phones are attempting to initialize on new ports at the same time.
